Francesco
Bianco was born in Rome in 1977.
After the secondary school, he attended
italian studies at the
Università
degli Studi Roma Tre; he also took part to the
Socrates Erasmus exchange program and spent one year at the
Ruprecht-Karls-Universität
of
Heidelberg (Germany).
He also spent periods overseas in Belgium,
working as a volounteer thourgh the
EVS exchange program (European
Voluntary Service), and Australia, working as
internship in the
Italian Institute of Culture Sydney.
He had various experiences
in journalism, book publishing and culture: he wrote
articles for newspapers and magazines; he also cooperated to
prepare and write tv programs, tourist guides and movie
festivals; he organized and took part
to international linguistic congresses; he also worked as
book publisher and is still playing the role of deputy
president of
Edizioni Pigreco.
Besides journalism, Francesco wrote also
short novels, poems, and scientific articles (linguistics).
He likes to create and manage
web sites: he also wroked
sometimes for third parts (universities, cultural and sport
clubs, private people).
Between
May and December 2008 he worked at the
European Student Mobility Programmes Office of the
Università
degli Studi Roma Tre.
In 2011 he got the PhD in italian linguistics at the
Sapienza
Università di Roma; hi
wrote and defended a dissertation
(advisors:
Massimo Arcangeli and
Luca Lorenzetti) about
Temporal clauses in old italian (some
part of which has been already presented at international
congresses). In the frame of his research he spent some
periods (2009, 2010)
at the
Université Stendhal in Grenoble (France) and at the
Johannes
Gutenberg Universität in Mainz (Germany).
He is member of the
Società Internazionale di Linguistica e Filologia Italiana
(SILFI). He takes also part to the
editorial committee of the series
Studi linguistici e di storia della lingua italiana
(directors:
Maurizio Dardano and
Claudio Giovanardi) for the publisher
Aracne (Rome). He wrote some articles on
Repubblica.it and on other newspapers and webzines.
